Light and the dead body

I saw this painting at National Art Museum of China in a 100th year commemorative exhibition of the Xinhai Revolution. The Qing dynasty was overthrown in this uprising, putting an end to 2000 years of imperial rule.

The theme of one of the paintings was about the Guangzhou Uprising or the Yellow Flower Mound Revolt (黄花岗之役). During the revolt, a revolutionary called Pan Dawei (潘达微) helped buried 72 comrades at the Yellow Flower Mound.
